To dispute a Chong Lua Dao false positive, open its Report an incorrect result form. No account is needed. Enter your email, your own site's URL in the field labelled Malicious URL, and a reason. Tick the policies box and click Submit complaint. It says it will process the complaint "soon" and email you, with no stated time. Check the result on its Analyze page.

What a Chong Lua Dao flag looks like

Chống Lừa Đảo is run by a Vietnamese social enterprise with a cybersecurity initiative. Its browser extension shows a warning pop-up with three levels: Safe, Careful and Danger. The extension is available for Edge, Chrome, Cốc Cốc, Brave and Firefox. Its site says its denylist is integrated into OpenDNS, NextDNS, Twitter and antivirus vendors, and its mechanism page says it shares data with Twitter/X, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Kaspersky and Avast. It is also an engine in VirusTotal's URL scan.

Why clean sites end up flagged here

  • Chong Lua Dao says a machine-learning model "runs directly within the user's browser".
  • It says users rate websites from 1 to 5 stars.
  • It says "experts manually review and verify reports" before updating the warning database.
  • It says sites identified as malicious "are added immediately" to its denylist.
  • A past compromise that has been cleaned, but was recorded before the cleanup (our reading; Chong Lua Dao does not say this).

Where to submit: Chong Lua Dao Report false positive → Report an incorrect result

https://chongluadao.vn/en/report/reportmistake

Account: None.

What it asks for:

  1. "Your Email" (required)
  2. "Malicious URL" (required; the label says this even on the complaint form, so enter your own site's URL)
  3. "Reason" (required)
  4. Checkbox: "I have read and agree with the policies"; Submit stays disabled until it is ticked
  5. "Submit complaint"

The form heading is "File a complaint - Report an incorrect result". The report hub's "Report false positive" card says: "Think a website was blocked or rated unfairly? Ask us to take another look." The reporting policy, which is in Vietnamese, says reporters must give honest and authentic information and that fake reports and intentional misinformation are strictly prohibited.

Step by step

  1. Check the result on the Analyze page. Enter the site on Chong Lua Dao's Analyze page ("Check Scams, Data Leaks") and note the result. Its public denylist page is only "a random sample" of the database, so a site missing from that page proves nothing.
  2. Confirm the site is clean. If the site was hacked or hosted something flagged, remove it, and note what was removed and when. Check subdomains and old folders too (our advice).
  3. Open the Report an incorrect result form. Use the "Report false positive" card on the report hub. No account is needed. Enter your email. In "Malicious URL" enter your own site's URL, even though the label sounds accusing.
  4. Write an honest reason. Say what the site is and why the result is wrong. The policy page, which is in Vietnamese, prohibits fake reports and intentional misinformation. Tick the policies checkbox, or Submit stays disabled.
  5. Click Submit complaint once. The success text says: "We will soon process your complaint and notify you as soon as possible via your email address." No time is stated. If the form says the site was already reported, do not resubmit.
  6. Re-check the result. Re-check the Analyze page and, if the verdict showed on VirusTotal, reanalyze the URL there. Watch the email you entered for the reply.

What to write

Short, specific, impersonal. What was found, what was removed, when, and how it was verified. No marketing language, no attachments, no threats.

Site: {full URL}
What the site is: {one-line description}.
Current result: {what the Analyze page or the extension shows, e.g. Danger}.
Why the result is wrong: {Either: 'The site was cleaned on {date}: {what was removed or secured}.' Or: 'The site has not hosted malware, phishing or scams.'}
Please review the result.

Why requests get rejected, and the fix

  • The form says: "Report failed! The website has already been identified as safe in the allowlist." The site is on the allowlist, so there is nothing to file. Re-check the Analyze page. If a warning still shows, it may come from another source (our reading).
  • The form says: "Report failed! The website has already been reported and is being investigated." Do not resubmit. Wait for the reply by email.
  • The report contains false or misleading information, which the policy page (in Vietnamese) prohibits. State only what is true about the site and what was cleaned.

Who copies this verdict

  • VirusTotal shows Chong Lua Dao's URL verdict as one of its engines.
  • Chong Lua Dao's site says its denylist is integrated into OpenDNS, NextDNS, Twitter and antivirus vendors. Its mechanism page says it shares data with Twitter/X, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Kaspersky and Avast.

  • Use the Report an incorrect result form. It needs no account. Enter your email, your own site's URL and a reason, tick the policies box and click Submit complaint.

  • That is the label on the field, even on the complaint form. Enter your own site's URL there.

  • It states no turnaround. The success text says it will process the complaint "soon" and notify you by email. We do not have enough data yet to give an observed time.

  • It is one of the form's error messages. It means the site is already reported, so do not resubmit. Wait for the reply by email.
